Sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on for Clockmint on each device. Your data syncs automatically, and you can check its status in Settings → Backup & Sync. The Apple Watch app stays in step with your iPhone.

No. Clockmint doesn't have its own accounts. Your data lives on your devices and in your own iCloud account.

Go to Settings → Backup & Sync → Create Backup to save everything to one file, with receipts optional. To restore, use Restore from Backup. Restoring only adds what's missing, so it never overwrites or duplicates anything.

Once time is on an invoice, its rate and hours are locked so the invoice total never changes. You can still edit notes. To change the time, remove its line from a draft invoice, or delete the invoice. The time then becomes unbilled again.

Set your default VAT rate in Settings → Invoices, and your VAT number in Settings → Business Profile. For each client you can choose standard, a custom rate, zero-rated, reverse charge or outside the scope of UK VAT. Invoices then include the right wording.

Yes. In Settings → Business Profile, turn on I'm a CIS Subcontractor, choose your rate and add your UTR. Then turn on Deducts CIS for each contractor. Their invoices show the deduction on labour (not materials or VAT) and the amount due, you can enter the figure from the contractor's statement when you're paid, and the tax estimate counts deductions as tax already paid, showing any refund due.

It's a guide based on your paid invoices and expenses for the tax year, using UK Income Tax, Class 4 National Insurance and, if you choose, Scottish bands, which you can edit. It isn't tax advice, so check with HMRC or an accountant before relying on it.

Open Settings → Manage Subscription in Clockmint, or go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. For refunds, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. If you reinstall or get a new device, tap Restore Purchases in Settings.

Yes. If a timer runs past your reminder time (4 hours by default), Clockmint asks when you actually stopped and trims the extra time. You can also edit any session afterwards by tapping it.

Yes. Go to Settings → Timer → Automatic Tracking for step-by-step guides. You can start a project's timer when a Focus turns on, when you tap an NFC tag with your iPhone, or when you arrive somewhere, using the Shortcuts app. On a Mac, Clockmint can also notice when you've been away while the timer ran and offer to remove that time.

In Expenses, tap Detect Drives Automatically. Your iPhone notices when you're driving and measures the distance from low-power location changes, kept on your iPhone for 8 days. Drives appear at the top of Expenses: swipe right to log one as business mileage at HMRC rates, or left if it was personal. Check the distance against your route before claiming.

In Insights → Tax Estimate, choose Accountant Pack. It makes a zip with a summary PDF (profit and loss, Self Assessment SA103S totals and VAT), spreadsheets of income, expenses and mileage, every invoice as a PDF, and your receipt photos.

Delete items in the app, or delete the app to remove the data on that device. To remove the copy in iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Clockmint. See the Privacy Policy for details.
